Staring at Life through a Window

Well I haven't done one of these for a while and some of my friends have asked so what better way to pass the time. For those of you that have read my previous posts, I am sure you are eagerly anticipating another "hilarious" take on dating, football, food or an insight into the eye condition called KerryKatonus. Sadly, this is going to be a mix of all kinds of shit to keep you entertained and keep me sane......for now. What's going on? For anyone that doesn't live in an ivory tower we are in lockdown due to the pandemic caused by Covid 19, which is a type of Coronavirus that is infecting the world. It is killing mainly those with underlying health conditions but it is having catastrophic affects on healthcare everywhere, destroying economies, putting people out of work, closing businesses and making life impossible for families. How has life changed? Good question Ranty. Thanks mate. I'm not your mate. Aaaand....I'm going nuts. So those of

A Royal Rant at Jose Gomes

Before I start, it's best to give you a little background on who I am and why I am posting this.  I've been a Reading fan since I was about 7. I have seen everything from Uwe Hartenberger to Van Der Kwakk to finishing 2nd and not getting promoted to our record breaking season and to this drivel. Been there done that. Despite my support spanning from the far reaches of time, I have always been a forward thinking and progressive individual who embraces the ever increasing changes and evolution of football. Now I am not looking to become a journalist, pretending to be ITK or looking to belittle anyone else's opinion. This is just my thoughts from my own observations and sources over the past year. I want to share with you where things have started to go wrong after such a positive turnaround.  So let's begin with the latter.  Jose Gomes took over a team that was destined for relegation and had some technically talented players trained in a way that was remini

Nandos is great but this new place just about Shwings it!

Nandos has been around since I was a teenager and will continue to do so for many years. It covers so many audiences. 20 - 40 somethings hungover that need an easy, delicious recovery whilst being able to leave the house for some fresh air. Nandos. Secondary school kids on their lunch break that want to spend their parents.... I mean their own money. Nandos. A quick, easy and hearty pre-drink meal. It's all there. So what is so appealing about Nandos?  If you don't know what Nandos is about then you have  either lived under a rock or do not have one in your country. It is finger licking, grilled chicken with varying levels of peri-peri spice from the beautiful land of Portugal. Not only that, but you get peri-peri chips, Olives and the infamous custard tarts should you wish to spoil yourselves after a causal meal. For those that are also after value for money, it's dead cheap too! I have dined at Nandos for many years and it is a strong, reliable and easy choice with

Video Assistant Refereeing - Too VAR for the short sighted

Before the Premier League was formed football could have been justified as a game for the fans. But since the villainous tyrants of Sky and The Premier League joined forces it has and always will be about "Da Money". The Premier League is seen by many Professional footballers outside of the Mediterranean countries as the holy grail. Partly due to the opportunity to put your skills against some of the best but mainly because of the lucrative salaries, fame and women it brings with it. And why not? A footballers career only lasts between 10 and 15 years on the playing side if you're lucky. So you should be looking to earn as much as possible in a short space of time before you have take up a new career outside of football or in a non-playing capacity. For those that want to increase their chances of being a football manager or even a top pundit, you really want to be playing at the highest level for as long as possible, which means staying in the Prem and doing well!
